Acceptable Use Policy

What you may not do with Valgrind, including email, calling, share links, and Verify checks.

Effective 12 October 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy is part of the Terms of Service. It applies from 12 October 2026.

1. Intended use

Valgrind is for lawful business use: managing relationships, files, communications, and identity checks you are entitled to handle.

2. You may not

  • Break the law, including data-protection, export-control, sanctions, anti-spam, or privacy law.
  • Upload malware, probe or overload the service, or bypass access controls.
  • Scrape, harvest, or resell personal data from Valgrind except as the product features intend for your own workspace.
  • Use Secure Share or public links to publish other people’s personal data without a lawful basis.
  • Send unsolicited bulk email or calls through connected inboxes, calling, or share links.
  • Record calls or process identity documents, selfies, or biometrics without the consents and notices the law requires in each place you operate.
  • Use Verify, screening, or similar features to discriminate unlawfully or to build a surveillance database unrelated to your stated compliance purpose.
  • Impersonate others, misrepresent your organisation, or use the service to defraud.
  • Interfere with another customer’s workspace or with our staff.
  • Sublicense, white-label, or provide the service to third parties as your own, except with a written partner agreement.

3. Sharing and legal hold

You are responsible for who can open a share link and for placing legal hold when you must preserve records. Do not use deletion or hold features to obstruct a lawful investigation you are required to support.

4. Enforcement

We may investigate, suspend, or terminate accounts that breach this policy, and we may report illegal activity. Contact support@valgrind.io if you believe a workspace is being abused.
